Bound to Get Even – Taking a red flag drop in class and shortening up in distance; still, if he’s half a horse, he’s supposed to get there.

John the Maitre D – Talamo is doing things that only jockeys with special talent can do; he always saves something for the final furlong.

Long Shot – Domoron Domoron

Race 2 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $51,000, Allowance, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up

Beyond Loaded – Could envision a Talamo daily double without much trouble; stretching out in distance, has tactical speed to sit a trip.

Stella Mark – Speedball dueled thru suicidal fractions in last, then predictable collapsed; a softer early pace takes him a long ways.

Long Shot – Dadsalittleunusual

Race 3 – 4 1/2 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Maiden claiming $40,000, Fillies, 2-year-olds

Snowbound Slew – Tells you something about the field when a Turf Paradise entry is the choice; her one career start was pretty good.

Red Hot Renee – FTS from a low percentage barn has shown some energy in the mornings; need not be much to compete, watch the tote board.

Long Shot – Mighty Fine Wine

Race 4 – 6 furlongs, Purse $15,000, Maiden claiming $25,000, 3-year-olds and up

Helmstar – Third start off a 9-month hiatus should be his best; taking a small, but significant, class drop to face a very weak field.

Rowan Charm – Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; need not be much horse to be competitive today.

Long Shot – Ring Ready

Race 5 – 6 furlongs, Purse $49,000, Allowance, 3-year-olds

Black Seventeen – Speedball was overreaching in the Santa Anita Derby; returning to square one where he will play catch me if you can.

Street Lights – Not a bad try chasing to very good colts in the San Pedro; the Mig figures to settle early, and make one run late.

Long Shot – Saintly Son

Race 6 – 6 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Maiden claiming $40,000, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up

Goodnight Kiss – Jones has an extraordinary record dropping down from MSW to maiden claiming; takes the blinkers off, puts Talamo on.

Desert Rain – Tepid chalk ran a winning race for this low level last time out; was flattered when My Man Murf won next time out.

Long Shot – Roar in Solana

Race 7 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $58,000, Optional claiming $100,000, 4-year-olds and up

Yes He’s a Pistol – Talk about a wide open race, there are literally no throw outs in the field; tactical speed to be forwardly placed.

Jake Skate – Beat much cheaper to a pulp last time out; he faces much tougher tonight, but he may have improved that much for O’Neill.

Long Shot – Union Avenue

Race 8 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $15,000, Claiming $10,000, 4-year-olds and up

Cantbeatwhatucantc – He may not get the lead today, but I suspect Pedroza can sit second or third early; Mullins has him in tip top shape.

Deputy Lad – Logical chalk is strictly the one to beat; he ran very poorly last time facing a slightly tougher group, must rebound.

Long Shot – Little Bertrando
