By Richard Eng
Post Time 2 p.m.
Race 1 – 1 miles, Purse $52,000, Maiden special weights, 3-year-olds and up
Tweebster – His best career race was two back over the Inglewood course; doesn’t seem as quick on grass.
Rauschenberg – Sprinter stretching out first time around 2 turns; has the pedigree top and bottom to handle it.
Long Shot – Distorted Economy
Race 2 – 7 furlongs, Purse $24,000, Claiming $16,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds
Mary Strong – Mike Mitchell class dropper figures to be double tough with Rafael Bejarano; will be grinding late.
Warren’s Swap Fox – Claimed by Doug O’Neill out of a key race; he adds blinkers on and Joel Rosario.
Long Shot – Precious Song
Race 3 – 5 furlongs, Purse $54,000, Optional claiming $40,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
El Nadia – Like the turn back in distance where she should be flying fast in the lane; must avoid traffic woes.
Sister Dawn – Has become a first-class money burner; she’s been heavily favored in all 5 career starts.
Long Shot – Amina
Race 4 – 6 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Maiden claiming $25,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Holloween Candy – Looks like a monster here as she slides down the claiming ladder; better if sent to the lead.
Lady Adelle – Second best last time in a decent try; gets reunited with Joe Talamo for the money shot.
Long Shot – Haunted Highway
Race 5 – 5 furlongs (turf), Purse $64,000, Optional claiming $100,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Porto Marmay – There is so much speed in the field, the race is crying for a closer; let’s see if she can get up this time.
Pasar Silbano – Been away 7 months, but has a ton of back class; she might be the speed of the speed, fresh and fit.
Long Shot – Reba Is Tops
Race 6 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $27,000, Maiden claiming $50,000, 2-year-olds
Comma to the Top – Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; big rider switch to Rafael Bejarano.
Ride Candy Ride – Good speed effort when third in last; best shot to upset is to try and outbreak the chalk.
Long Shot – Celestic Night
Race 7 – 1 3/8th miles (turf), Purse $57,000, Optional claiming $40,000, 3-year-olds and up
Tripitaka – Was flattered when Champ Pegasus ran a good second in the Sunset; was able to set a slow pace in last.
Job Boss – Interesting long shot has a chance to sit a trip and fire late; good value under Joe Talamo.
Long Shot – Scorpion Time
Race 8 – 6 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Maiden claiming $25,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Warrens Matchmaker – Embarrassing pick is 0-for-11 lifetime; key vote is from Tyler Baze, best of an awful lot.
Go Lourdes Go – Only reason she is favored is because of Rafael Bejarano; adds blinkers on for Mr. Houdini.
Long Shot – Sexy Melody
Best Bet – Holloween Candy (race 4)
