HORSE RACING

Post Time 12:30 p.m.

Race 1 – 6 furlongs, Purse $25,000, Claiming $25,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds

Punctual – Speedball may just lead these wire to wire; big class drop can only help Tyler Baze had multiple options.

Imperatriz – A.C. Avila barn continues to impress with strong efforts; should be closing fastest of all in the lane.

Long Shot – Right to Work

Race 2 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $13,000, Claiming $10,000, 4-year-olds and up

Sidepocket Lou – For forgiving handicappers after a bad race; he fits well with these and could bounce right back.

Scottish Diamond – Claimed from Jeff Mullins off a sharp win; could be fit enough to win on another person’s training.

Long Shot – Orientation Hall

Race 3 – 7 furlongs, Purse $46,000, Optional claiming $32,000, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up

Stevie’s Afleet – Chased two good ones in last in a very difficult heat; gets class relief today and can atone.

Fund Raiser – Bob Baffert has an uncoupled entry so keep an eye on them; the longer odds horse is Toro Bonito.

Long Shot – Oui Say Oui

Race 4 – 6 1/2 furlongs (turf), Purse $30,000, Claiming $32,000, 4-year-olds and up

El Manuel – He looked like a horse who clearly needed a race off an 18-month hiatus; dropped in class, should move forward.

Bonfante – Dead late closer draws the parking lot post down the hillside turf course; will again be flying late.

Long Shot – El Martillo

Race 5 – 7 furlongs, Purse $44,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies, 3-year-olds

Hard Way Ten – Useful third in debut for barn that seldom wins with FTS; like that Rafael Bejarano remains loyal.

Misinjennuous – Been away 8 months since a beaten chalk at Del Mar; likely faced a better group there, key is fitness.

Long Shot – S C Song Girl

Race 6 – 1 mile (turf), Purse $32,000, Claiming $32,000, Fillies, 4-year-olds

Foundation Room – Sandy Shulman has been using Garrett Gomez on the live ones; Gomez will be leaving for Keeneland soon.

Forever My Love – Third start off a 2-month hiatus; his race two back in this class was a near miss, big shot tonight.

Long Shot – Vikkilee

Race 7 – 1 1/4 miles, Purse $48,000, Optional claiming $40,000, 4-year-olds and up

Poker Dave – Has been very sharp for Eddie Truman since returning from a 6-month hiatus; he’ll be galloping fast late.

Land of the Giants – Taking the big leap from pounding MSW to facing winners for the first time; he might be this good.

Long Shot – History Boy

Race 8 – 1 1/8th miles (turf), $150,000 Santa Ana Handicap, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up

Tuscan Evening – This may be farther than the chalk wants to go; key will be how Rafael Bejarano controls his energy.

Treat Gently – Bill Mott barn has had a miserable meet, but he can finish strong; quality mare can wake up big time.

Long Shot – Eissoai

Race 9 – 1 mile, Purse $14,000, Claiming $12,500, 4-year-olds and up

Elmer N Mort – Big class drop points to a now or never try; like the shortening up in distance for this.

Marquet Rebel – Lost a head bob in last and can atone today; will sit in arrears and make one big run.

Long Shot – Renzo Sean

Best Bet – Poker Dave (race 7)
