Good Time Sally – Just missed in return off a year hiatus; big rider switch to Bejarano for the money shot.
Stash – Speedball has a chance to be the best bet in racing, lone speed; plays catch me if you can.
Long Shot – Susan’s Wildcat
Race 2 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $24,000, Starter allowance $40,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Lavender Touch – Beaten favorite fell apart late like a cheap suit; she’s better than that, I think.
Chic Chick – Sharp maiden claiming win first time for a price tag; sits chilly and makes one big brush.
Long Shot – Lucayan Secret
Race 3 – 6 furlongs, Purse $46,000, Maiden special weights, 3-year-olds and up
Hiya Silver – He’s had chances, but the race experience is a big plus; has been lacking a killer instinct.
Halo’s Law – FTS from the Jeff Mullins barn; like that Rafael Bejarano takes the call, must be live.
Long Shot – Via Zavata
Race 4 – 6 furlongs (turf), Purse $30,000, Claiming $32,000, 3-year-olds and up
Coronel Moldes – Sliding down the claiming ladder; he looked good in this class level last time out.
Scottish Diamond – Tepid chalk in an open race; won for $20K, now takes a big class rise trying to repeat.
Long Shot – Maroon
Race 5 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $13,000, Claiming $12,500, 3-year-olds and up
Noble Courage – Decent return off a 3-month hiatus; has enough back class to move forward another step.
Fire Break – I’ve cashed a couple tickets with this jockey who gets entirely ignored; ground saving trip.
Long Shot – Magna Cum Laude
Race 6 – 1 1/16th miles (turf), Purse $50,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
My Maloof Rocker – She has less talent, but no one tries harder than her; will be fighting to the end.
Midnight Crush – Tepid chalk in an open, interesting heat; big rider switch to Garrett Gomez.
Long Shot – Pericia Fina
Race 7 – 7 furlongs, Purse $21,000, Claiming $20,000, 3-year-olds and up
Lunch Time – Ran fine off the claim by Bill Morey; NoCal invader gets the top rider in Garrett Gomez.
Cape Hatchet – Speedy sort gets the ultimate rider switch to Rafael Bejarano; class drop can only help.
Long Shot – Nene
Race 8 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $55,000, Optional claiming $62,500, 3-year-olds and up
Elysium Fields – Beaten favorite in a stakes caliber field last time; can make amends with these.
Temple City – Loses his rider to Elysium Fields; he’s overdue to make a quantum leap forward, has ability.
Long Shot – Seminole Native
Race 9 – 1 mile (turf), $250,000 Shoemaker Mile, 3-year-olds and up
Ventura – Mare has a bad habit of pulling herself up late; Gomez needs to wait, wait and wait some more.
Whatsthescript – Returns from a 6-month hiatus, but Gomez opted for Ventura; tough spot to comeback in.
Long Shot – Thorn Song
Race 10 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $17,000, Maiden claiming $32,000, 3-year-olds and up
Truly a Delight – If you’re live in the pick 6, I hope you’re spread in this leg; chance to outrun his odds.
Domestic Gold – Danny Sorenson had choices, he rides here for Paddy Gallagher; need not be much animal.
