Defense King – Favored due to the reputation of Garrett Gomez and Mike Mitchell off the claim; need not be much to compete.
Long Shot – Dana Dynamo
Race 2 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $19,000, Claiming $25,000, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
Summertime – Huge class drop from Jeff Mullins; that he hires Garrett Gomez will guarantee no value as the chalk.
Cato Major – Her last two seconds show she has finally found her comfort level; her best stride will come late.
Long Shot – Stately Appeal
Race 3 – 1 mile, Purse $46,000, Maiden special weights, 3-year-olds
Wagels – Made a big middle move in debut, now Mark Casse adds blinkers on; Chantal Sutherland is a long shot specialist.
Mythical Power – $78K pick 6 carryover starts here; beaten favorite now stretches out around 2-turns.
Long Shot – Kings Village
Race 4 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $56,000, Allowance, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
Theodora – Her synthetic races are much faster than her turf tries; her last win was clear and authoritative.
Raiding Party – Was flattered when Onebadkitty dead-heated for a stakes win next out; she clearly prefers synthetics.
Long Shot – Wine and Dyne
Race 5 – 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 30 feet), Purse $45,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies, 3-year-olds
Royal Fortune – Tepid chalk can utilize her speed to the fullest with the turf rail out 30 feet; Rafael Bejarano should send.
On Approval – Dead late closer should solid improvement in second career start; race came off grass last time out.
Long Shot – Ruby Lane
Race 6 – 6 furlongs, Purse $13,000, Claiming $12,500, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
Cheese Face – Found her best stride very late in return off a 18-month hiatus; has the back class to handle these.
Miss Lydia – Taking a solid class drop in making her third start off a 3-month hiatus; need not be much in here.
Long Shot – Tallahsocean
Race 7 – 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 30 feet), Purse $60,000, Allowance, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
Gotta Have Her – Edge in recency, class relief exiting a series of graded stakes; like the turn back in distance too.
Satan’s Circus – Not sure how tight she’ll be off a 6-month hiatus; she has the talent and pilot Garrett Gomez.
Long Shot – Sprung
Race 8 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $16,000, Claiming $12,500, 4-year-olds and up
Dadsalittleunusual – Sliding down the claiming ladder to this career low level; leap of faith with Garrett Gomez.
South Coast – Red flag drop in class for Marty Jones; if this guy has anything left at all, he’ll be in the mix.
