Surfer Girl – She may possess the most talent, but has been away 10-months; owned by radio show host Jim Rome.
Ashton Girl – Third start off a 2-month hiatus could be her best; tactical speed to sit a perfect trip.
Long Shot – Midnight Crush
Race 2 – 7 furlongs, Purse $15,000, Claiming $12,500, 4-year-olds and up
Rabbi – Been away 3-months, but has much back class to rely upon; Kathy Walsh barn has really cooked this meet.
Satellite – Claimed by Doug O’Neill, this old veteran keeps running hard; this level is about as much as he wants.
Long Shot – Cointreau
Race 3 – 1 mile (turf, rail at 8 feet), Purse $45,000, Starter handicap $40,000, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
Sterling Misty – Race shape points to a closer like her; should get a lot of value with this combo of Cenicola and Talamo.
Bootleg Annie – Tepid chalk in a very difficult heat; she wants the early lead but there are others to duel her.
Long Shot – Wondrous Event
Race 4 – 6 furlongs, $75,000 San Miguel, 3-year-olds
Charlie’s Moment – Multiple stakes winner has a decided experience edge over these; cozy outside post to stalk from.
Gotmymojoworkin – Colt should legit talent in debut; then was thrown into the deep end of the pool in the Sunshine Millions.
Long Shot – Turk
Race 5 – 7 furlongs, Purse $45,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies, 3-year-olds
Hard Kisses – Found her best stride too late in debut; Bob Baffert babies typically improve with experience.
Shiksa – Another debut filly who ran slow early, very fast late; she is meant to be a good one, logical improvement.
Long Shot – Diamond Tags
Race 6 – 6 furlongs, Purse $19,000, Claiming $25,000, 4-year-olds and up
Concerto’s Thunder – Another incredibly difficult leg of the pick 6; big class drop and third start off a 2-month hiatus.
Polish Quest – Part of a decent Bruce Headley entry; had a troubled trip in last, can make amends here.
Long Shot – Swift Demand
Race 7 – 1 1/8th miles (turf, rail at 8 feet), Purse $46,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies, 3-year-olds
Well Monied – Was bothered at a key point in the stretch and then rerallied; generous favorite at 7/2 odds.
Showboater – Part of a blanket finish that included the chalk; she has shown more ability on turf than anything else.
Long Shot – Box Office Queen
Race 8 – 1 1/2 miles, $100,000 Tokyo City Cup Handicap, 4-year-olds and up
Big Booster – Could see a perfect trip if somebody tries to run with Zappa; saves ground and comes grinding in the lane.
Zappa – Speedball loves the synthetic surfaces; the key will be if Kizzy’s Chaos decides to take a run at him early.
Long Shot – Stream Cat
Race 9 – 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 8 feet), Purse $23,000, 3-year-olds and up
Defense King – Won his maiden first off the claim for Mike Mitchell; surmise that even more improvement is eminent.
Turkish Victory – Been away 10-months, but showed some moxie in graduating; watch the tote for some action.
Long Shot – Benezit
Race 10 – 6 furlongs, Purse $18,000, Maiden claiming $32,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds
Irish Pepper – Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; had traffic problems too in last.
Atta’ Girl – Kathy Walsh can do no wrong this meet; her filly ran better than evenly, big shot with improvement.
Long Shot – Stellar Day
