Post Time 7:05 p.m.
Race 1 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $8,000, Claiming $8,000, 3-year-olds and up
Going Forward – Speedy bullet from Peter Miller just missed in last; may be able to impose his will on these.
Top Leese – Jeff Mullins has been doing much better than at Oak Tree; tactical speed to sit a nice trip.
Long Shot – Pepper Trail
Race 2 – 7 1/2 furlongs, Purse $22,000, Claiming $25,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds
Four Paws – There are a lot of class droppers on the card running for small purses; can win this from memory.
Filter – Speedball will try to bottom out the field; her biggest question will come inside the final furlong.
Long Shot – Tuscan Princess
Race 3 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $8,000, Claiming $8,000, 3-year-olds
Giovanni – Ran fast enough in last to trounce these, if repeated; Doug O’Neill drops him to the bottom.
Yes He’s a Pistol – Just missed in last when he flew late; key newcomer he faces tonight is Giovanni.
Long Shot – Smudgeledo
Race 4 – 7 furlongs, Purse $12,000, Maiden claiming $25,000, 3-year-olds and up
Solo Performance – Sliding down the claiming ladder to this bottom level; like that Bejarano stays loyal.
Troubletimesthree – Third start could be his best at this modest class; was well bet in last and ran like it.
Long Shot – Winning Yield
Race 5 – 6 furlongs (turf, rail at 10 feet), Purse $49,000, Allowance, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Ransom Captive – Class relief out of stakes races for this; she may turn out a better closing sprinter type.
Woodland City – Another exiting stakes races for this modest condition; tactical speed to sit a trip.
Long Shot – Shermeen
Race 6 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $20,000, Claiming $25,000, 3-year-olds and up
Matty’s G Force – Leap of faith that the switch from Mike Mitchell to Jeff Metz won’t slow him down too much.
Cable Dancer – Closer drops in class to face NW2L condition; while it looks like a class rise, it’s the opposite.
Long Shot – Bertie Boy
Race 7 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $40,000, Allowance, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Life At Ten – Well regarded Todd Pletcher import got a conditioning race in at Keeneland; Gomez takes charge.
Nurture – Flew home late in last at Keeneland in a typical Leparoux ride; Bejarano will try to emulate that.
Long Shot – Sheza Maneater
Race 8 – 6 furlongs, Purse $12,000, Maiden claiming $25,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Blame the Wine – Just missed last time in a speed figure fast enough to beat these if repeated; Bejarano returns.
Silent Smoke – Flashed good speed in last and could provide the target again; plays catch me if you can.
Long Shot – Paddlin Mud
Best Bet – Blame the Wine (race 8)
