Post Time 12:30 p.m.
Race 1 – 7 furlongs, Purse $34,000, Claiming $32,000, 3-year-olds
Gone Grand – Speedball may have too much early gas for these to handle; big class drop can help him hang on late.
Kiss My Crown – Was ambitiously placed last time off the claim by Becerra; class relief today offers him an upset chance.
Long Shot – Dark Vadar
Race 2 – 6 furlongs, Purse $22,000, Maiden claiming $40,000, Purse $22,000, 4-year-olds and up
Danny Templeton – Ran well first time for a claiming price last race; tactical speed to sit a perfect trip.
Yvett’s Pride – Speedy sort has been away 10-months, but reportedly has been working well; vulnerable favorite.
Long Shot – Luck Is Mandatory
Race 3 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $48,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies, 3-year-olds
Arboreta – Highly regarded in debut, well meant, well bet, ran poorly; forgiving handicappers give her another chance.
Mini Do – Tactical speed and the rail post to save all the ground inside; moves from outside post 11 to inside today.
Long Shot – Theodora
Race 4 – 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $38,000, Claiming $40,000, 4-year-olds and up
Kingdom Come – Proven to love the hillside turf course; no shock if a parimutuel bomb starts the pick 6 carryover.
Exceeding – Tepid chalk was claimed by the maestro Jerry Hollendorfer; tactical speed to sit a perfect trip.
Long Shot – Rush Country
Race 5 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $61,000, Optional claiming $62,500, 4-year-olds and up
Mi Arcobaleno – Finally broke thru with a gritty win last time out; can save all the ground and fight it out again.
Dilemma – He’s lost a lot of close photos lately, which can be construed as a negative; tactical speed to get involved.
Long Shot – Joy’s Comet
Race 6 – 1 mile (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $50,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
Burnt – Went off at a generous 9/1 in debut, then was absolutely flying late; should improve with the experience.
First Take – Ran very well in her turf debut, which may turn out to be her preferred surface; makes the last move.
Long Shot – Soothing Touch
Race 7 – 6 furlongs, $100,000 Honest Lady, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
Overly Tempting – She was meant to be a stakes mare, maybe now she can break thru; has been handled like fine china.
Coco Belle – Can’t imagine all of these speedballs will leave on a suicide mission; this filly can really motor.
Long Shot – Selvatica
Race 8 – 1 1/8th miles (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $45,000, Starter handicap $40,000, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
Placid Lake – Not disgraced when third as a 22/1 long shot in the Sunshine Millions; should be dead fit for this.
Sweet Belle – Speedy sort is a cut below graded stakes quality, but a good mare to have around; excellent tactical speed.
Long Shot – Quite a Stormkat
Race 9 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $17,000, Maiden claiming $25,000, 4-year-olds and up
Seven Point One – Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; that’s the wake up call for many
Looks Great – Like the subtle turn back in distance for this; showed much improvement in his second career start.
Long Shot – I’m in the Mood
