Post Time 2 p.m.

Race 1 – 7 furlongs, Purse $17,000, Claiming $10,000, 4-year-olds and up

Hemet Thought – Lean to Sherman in an ugly opener for a Saturday; dead late closer, the barn wins 29 percent off the claim.

Vitali – Took a lot of betting to beat cheaper last time out; Bump barn doesn’t win much, but finds a soft spot for a repeat.

Long Shot – Larry King

Race 2 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $53,000, Maiden special weights, 2-year-olds

Good Man Dan – Has lost to three good looking youngsters in Salute the Sarge, Leonides and Kanan Dume; today may be the day.

Race 3 – 6 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Claiming $12,500, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up

Naughtylilhottie – Leap of faith that Mullins hot streak continues with this claim; filly was taken from ice cold Baffert barn.

Long Shot – Your Quote

Race 4 – 6 furlongs, Purse $53,000, Maiden special weights, 3-year-olds and up

Tizsong – Mandella popped a good one opening week in Kanan Dume; this guy is bred to win early and has been working well.

Bad Boy – Can’t get too excited over an 0-for-10 horse, but he’s been competitive of late; exiting the turf for Polytrack.

Long Shot – Informed

Race 5 – 7 furlongs, Purse $17,000, Claiming $10,000, 4-year-olds and up

Dixie’s Ruler – Was ridden like a bull in a China shop last time; expect Baze to be more patient and save energy for the end.

Clan Chief – Failed as the favorite in last facing slightly tougher; his race two back, if repeated, could upset the field.

Long Shot – Swedish Radar

Race 6 – 6 furlongs, Purse $40,000, Claiming $32,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds

Cheese Face – Skip over Mullins runners at your own risk; tactical speed to sit a perfect trip and grind out a win late.

Dearest Trickski – Speedball from the rail will have simple tactics today; she’ll go as fast and as far as she can.

Long Shot – Armed N Dangerous

Race 7 – 1 1/16th miles (turf, rail at 14 feet), Purse $34,000, Starter allowance $40,000, 3-year-olds and up

Consigner – Dead late closer can benefit from an expected speed duel; sneaky good turf pedigree for her grass debut today.

Our Partner – Logical chalk will like the turf rail out 14 feet; has an onerous parking lot post and others to duel with.

Long Shot – I Beat the Fire

Race 8 – 1 mile, Purse $63,000, Allowance, 3-year-olds and up

Stormy Grant – Cal-bred tries open company again, and at a square price; he’s much better than he showed last time out.

Price Tag – Extremely short priced favorite was outgamed for second by Precious Kitten in last; uncoupled Frankel entry.

Long Shot – Take the Ribbon

Race 10 – 7 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Maiden claiming $25,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

Afleet’s Desire – Facing the easiest test of her brief career in this bottom level claimer; should not have any excuses.

Long Shot – Queenofthebrahms

Best Bet – Afleet’s Desire (race 10)

Del Mar Friday – Picks/Winners/Mutuels, 13/3/$15.00; Long Shots, 8/1/$18.00; Best Bet, 1/0/$0
