Pacific drops Wolf Pack to 2-4
STOCKTON, Calif. — Chad Troyer scored 19 points and Anthony Brown had 13 points and 12 rebounds to lead Pacific to a 70-66 victory over UNR on Saturday night at the Spanos Center.
After UNR (2-4) took its only lead of the second half at 56-54 with 8:16 to play, Pacific (5-2) assumed command with a 15-0 run while holding the Wolf Pack scoreless for more than seven minutes.
But UNR rallied with 10 points in the final 57 seconds to get within 69-66 before Troyer’s free throw sealed the win with two seconds remaining.
Pacific missed five consecutive free throws in the final 35 seconds to let UNR back in the game.
Marcelus Kemp scored a game-high 20 points and had 12 rebounds to lead UNR.
