Sky Sox rally in ninth inning to beat 51s 9-7

■ HIGHLIGHTS: At Cashman Field, the Sky Sox (38-30) won it with three runs in the ninth inning after Las Vegas scored six in the eighth to tie it 6-all. … In the ninth, PCL batting leader Corey Dickerson (.378) hit a tiebreaking RBI double and Ryan Wheeler hit a two-run homer off 51s reliever Robert Carson. … Las Vegas (35-33) answered with a run in the bottom, but left the tying runs on base when Francisco Pena lined out to shortstop Charlie Culberson to end it. … The 51s’ Zach Lutz hit a tying three-run homer in the eighth. … Wilmer Flores had two RBIs for the 51s. … Dickerson also hit an RBI triple in the Sky Sox’s five-run fifth. Culberson and Ben Paulsen hit back-to-back homers to start the inning. … Drew Pomeranz had 11 strikeouts and held the 51s to three hits in 6 2/3 scoreless innings, walking two. … Las Vegas starter Chris Schwinden allowed five runs on nine hits in five innings. … 51s manager Wally Backman and left fielder Eric Campbell were ejected for arguing balls and strikes following the sixth inning.
