UNLV women’s tennis edges Air Force

The UNLV women’s tennis team beat Air Force 4-3 on Sunday in a neutral-site Mountain West match at Fort Collins, Colo.

UNLV dropped all three doubles matches to fall behind 1-0, but rebounded to win four of six in singles. Aleksandra Josifoska (No. 1), Lucia Batta (No. 2), Ella Bourchier (No. 5) and Iren Kotseva (No. 6) notched wins for the Rebels (16-7, 6-2 MW).

■ TRACK AND FIELD — At Walnut, Calif., UNLV’s Emily Blok took third in the 200-meter dash, fourth in the 100 and ran on the winning 4×100 relay at the Mount SAC Relays on Saturday in Walnut, Calif. Blok competed in the Olympic Development section at Mount SAC, while the rest of the UNLV squad was at a meet in Norwalk, Calif.

Lauren Petersen led the Rebels at the Beach Invitational in Norwalk, taking sixth in the 5,000-meter run.
