Baltimore prep star makes it official, signs with UNLV

Dwayne Morgan, a 6-foot-7-inch forward from Baltimore, signed a national letter of intent with UNLV on the opening day of the early signing period.

“Dwayne can score from a variety of spots on the floor and is a terrific rebounder and defender,” Rebels coach Dave Rice said. “He is extremely versatile and is a high-energy competitor.”

Morgan and Goodluck Okonoboh, a 6-9 forward from Wilbraham & Monson Academy in Wilbraham, Mass., made oral commitments to play basketball at UNLV, which has one of the nation’s highest-ranked recruiting classes.

Morgan was the first to commit and sign. Morgan is ranked No. 15 and Okonoboh is No. 32 in the class of 2014 by Rivals.com.
