Why the UNLV-Northern Colorado game is important

The magnitude of Friday’s 58-13 season-opening loss at Arizona makes this weekend even more crucial for UNLV. The Rebels play Northern Colorado, a Football Championship Subdivision team, at 7 p.m. Saturday at Sam Boyd Stadium. UNLV needs to do more than simply win. The Rebels need to beat the Bears convincingly. Anything short of that is a red flag that even in a down Mountain West, the Rebels will have major problems this season.
