Alaskans pleased with car, service from Planet Hyundai Super Store
After moving to Southern Nevada from Palmer, Alaska, Jerry and Sondra Carter found themselves in the market for a new vehicle. They found just what they were looking for, a 2011 2.0 turbo Hyundai Sonata, at Planet Hyundai Used Car Super Store at 7100 W. Sahara Ave.
“We rented a Hyundai for a month in January,” said Jerry Carter, a native of West Palm Beach, Fla., who lived in Alaska for about 49 years before he and his wife decided to move south.
“I drove the car back and forth from Pahrump to Las Vegas for about 18 days and I liked the car. I liked the features in it and also loved the way it drove.”
Carter and his brother-in-law, who also owns a Hyundai, visited the dealership to look around. There they met with sales consultant Owen “Daddy-O” Hebermehl.
“He treated us very well,” Carter said of Hebermehl. “We weren’t pressured at all and we were comfortable making our own decision without the typical stresses of buying a car.”
Hebermehl, a Bridgeport, Conn., native who has been in the car business for 34 years, rates Carter as one of his most interesting customers.
“I love living in Las Vegas because everyone is from someplace else,” he said.
Hebermehl said the Carters now have a dependable vehicle that they will not have to worry about.
“The Sonata has the remainder of the 10-year, 100,000-mile warranty. In addition, it has a 10-year unlimited-mile roadside assistance warranty,” he said. “I know that I won’t have to worry about the Carters with this car. The turbo has 276 horsepower and it’s an incredible vehicle. It has everything the Carters could ever want.”
After completing the purchase, dealership delivery consultant Bob Higdon showed Carter all of the amenities available in the Sonata.
“Bob was very helpful and thorough finalizing the deal for us,” Carter added.
