AROUND TOWN: Mall events will keep nights cool in Henderson
We all know it’s hot, and the late afternoon is the hottest part of the day. So finding something fun to do indoors during that time is great. The Galleria at Sunset mall is hosting Summerfest from 6 to 7 p.m. every Wednesday through July 23.
Zoo to You will take over Mervyn’s Court on the lower level of the mall on July 2 with a 60-minute children’s animal show, including a hedgehog, iguana and baby desert tortoise. The show, at 1300 W. Sunset Road, will be hosted by 98.5 KLUC morning show disc jockey Chet Buchanan.
Summerfest will present The Amazing Clowns on July 9; a competitive performance from Fern Adair Conservatory of the Arts on July 15; and Boo’s Carnival with games and prizes on July 23. All events are held from 6 to 7 p.m. in Mervyn’s Court on the lower level of the mall.
