Boy Scout troop advisor allegedly showed porn to Scouts
A Florida Boy Scouts troop advisor was charged this week after allegedly showing a group of Scouts pornographic videos.
Mark Kern, 48, was in charge of a group of Scouts who were handing out beverages at St. Bernard’s Church, police told WPLG. According to an arrest report, Kern showed the children a picture of a naked woman before showing them a video of adults having intercourse in November 2014.
Broward-Palm Beach New Times reported Kern showed multiple clips to the Scouts, ranging from ages 8 to 16, after he noticed a kid looking at a woman who was serving food.
No parents filed a complaint until last month, Broward-Palm Beach reported.
Kern was contacted at home and admitted to showing the clips to the boys. He was charged last week with two counts of displaying obscene material to juveniles.
