Dining pick of the week: Dragon Wok

PICK OF THE WEEK:

DRAGON WOK

3350 Novat St. at West Cheyenne Avenue, 382-8838

Chinese is always one of the first types of restaurants to open in a new development. And for that we are thankful. Residents living on the northwest edge of town can be thankful for Dragon Wok, which has a complete and traditional menu of fresh Chinese food. Entrees include cashew shrimp, orange beef, lemon chicken, shrimp chop suey, General Tso’s chicken, onion pork, Mongolian beef, sweet and sour pork, Hunan beef, curry chicken and scallops in hot garlic sauce. Several house specials are Hong Kong fried rice, walnut shrimp, calamari with salt and pepper, pork chop in Peking sauce, fish filet in black bean sauce and spicy sha cha beef. There are assorted chow meins, pad Thai spicy noodles, fried rice, vegetable dishes, appetizers (fried shrimp, vegetable egg roll, pot stickers, barbecue sliced pork), teriyaki bowls, egg foo yong, salads, and soups such as egg drop, won ton, chicken corn and seafood tofu. Lunch specials, beginning at $5.55, are served with rice, chow mein and egg drop soup from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Entrees begin at $5.95. Dragon Wok is open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
