Former dealership owner joins Land Rover Las Vegas team
Las Vegas has had its share of well-known names in its automotive dealership history and one of them, Pete Carollo, has just landed on the sales team at Land Rover Las Vegas. Carollo joined Land Rover Las Vegas on April 1.
Carollo started in the automotive business in 1988, when he opened Carollo’s Tropicana Motors on West Tropicana Avenue. When he closed the dealership in March 2009, Carollo estimates that he had sold more than 12,000 cars and trucks to people of Las Vegas.
“We’re really happy to add a person of Pete’s background and experience to our team,” said Ray DiNardi, Land Rover Las Vegas general manager. “The things he offers you just can’t teach. He’ll serve as a great example to our staff.”
Carollo specialized in pre-owned vehicles during his career and most of those vehicles were trucks and SUVs. Land Rover presents him with a unique opportunity to familiarize himself with the new vehicle market through the world’s most elite SUV.
“It’s been fun learning about a new product,” Carollo said. “I have driven Land Rovers before and used them quite extensively on African safaris, but this is my first chance to learn about them. They’re some kind of vehicle.”
