Hauck: Execution critical for UNLV against Utah
UNLV football coach Bobby Hauck received the usual "good luck" from the Mountain West Conference representative on the weekly league teleconference, and he replied, "Thanks a lot, we’ll need it."
Hauck knows the Rebels’ task at No. 20 Utah (1-0) at 1 p.m. PDT Saturday won’t be easy. UNLV (0-1) is coming off a 41-21 loss to Wisconsin, which now is No. 11.
UNLV, specifically, needs to block better.
"Execution is the critical thing for us this week because we just didn’t did it last week," Hauck said.
But he doesn’t question his players’ effort.
"I like our football team," Hauck said. "I like their attitude. I think they have a lot of character, and we’re going to continue to develop that. I don’t think there’s any doubt right now in our team’s mind that they can win some football games."
