Here we go again …
Just when we needed a president to rise above politics in the Gulf oil spill, now comes President Barack Obama speaking from the Oval Office to use the crisis to enact his party’s left wing environmental goals.
His speech tonight could not have been a bigger crock of wingnut stew.
Cap and trade, climate change legislation, green energy, all resulting in more taxes, more taxes and, of course, more taxes.
We do what we do at deeper depths in the ocean because people like President Obama keep driving the oil industry farther and farther out. Drilling for oil in places that have greater reserves and a cheaper price, are off limits.
If the president doesn’t want the U.S. to be dependent upon foreign oil, why does he do things that makes us far, far, far more dependent upon foreign oil?
This speech tonight is just another example of how this president may be one the most incompetent presidents in history.
