Homeless man almost gets lucky when ATM spits out $37K
A homeless man almost got lucky last week after a glitchy ATM in Maine spit out $37,000 instead of the $140 he had tried to withdraw.
WGME reports a woman called police to complain about the man, who was taking too long at the ATM. When police arrived, they found the man stuffing a shopping bag with cash.
The man returned the money and won’t be penalized for the bank’s mistake.
