Is air travel safe?

As a resident of a city dependent upon travel, I wish President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden would just hush-up. The latest big fat gaff from a Las Vegas standpoint comes from Biden who advised against air travel or confined spaces because "when one person sneezes, it goes all the way through the aircraft."
