No Rebels invited to NFL scouting combine
No UNLV players will participate in the NFL scouting combine, which is Feb. 23 through March 1 in Indianapolis.
The combine invites players most likely to be drafted, though Rebels running back Frank Summers wasn’t part of the combine two years ago and was selected in the fifth round by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Three players with local ties were invited to Indianapolis — safety Quinton Carter and running back DeMarco Murray of Oklahoma and defensive lineman Lawrence Guy of Arizona State. Carter attended Cheyenne High School, Murray went to Bishop Gorman and Guy to Western.
