Palin, Fallon brutally and hilariously lampoon Obama
This is a little-known fact, but Sarah Palin actually does a better Sarah Palin than Tina Fey.
And she proved it Wednesday night in a hilarious skit with Jimmy Fallon on the “Tonight Show.”
Fallon playing President Vladimir Putin and Palin playing herself launch into what could become a classic political sketch that brutally lampoons both Putin and President Barack Obama.
Two of my favorite lines:
1) Palin says: “You betcha, Vlad” to which Putin/Fallon says that he once invaded a country called “Youbetchavlad.”
2) “You shoot bear? I prefer hand-to-hand combat,” says Putin to Palin. “I come from strong genes. President Obama — he come from mom jeans.”
This was a clever takedown of President Obama. It signals another milepost in the fall of this president’s credibility.
PS: On an awkward note, Nevada’s left-of-left-of-left legislator Tick Segerblom tweeted this last night with a straight face: “Democrats target newest vital demographic: Single women.”
C’mon, Tick, Bill Clinton’s been doing that for years.
