Politico: Ensign’s lawyers expensive
Politico reports campaign finance figures show Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev., is spending lots of cash on legal fees as investigators poke into his personal and professional life.
Here’s a clip from the report: “In the last quarter of 2009, the Nevada Republican dipped into his campaign account to pay nearly $18,000 in legal fees to the firm Fish & Richardson, where he had retained legal counsel. In the prior quarter, covering expenses between July 1 and Sept. 30, Ensign paid the firm just $850 for legal fees.”
