Prankster hacks electronic sign, warns of Godzilla attack

Motorists in San Francisco got a laugh during traffic on Wednesday night when they saw an electronic road sign that warned them of a Godzilla attack.

And it was just in time for the release of the new Godzilla movie, which was released in theaters Friday.

According to the Huffington Post, someone had hacked into the road sign and made it read “Godzilla Attack!” and “Turn Back.”

Twitter user @kashhill tweeted, “Hacker having fun w/ default passcodes. Van Ness sign changed to “Turn Back. Godzilla Attack,”’ with a couple of pictures of the sign.

The sign has since been restored to read its original message – a warning for drivers of potential traffic delays on Sunday during the Bay to Breakers foot race.
