Retail Center Breaks Ground

Mountain’s Edge, a new master-planned community in the southwestern Las Vegas Valley, will soon have its first retail center.

Rotkin Real Estate Group broke ground on Cimarron Square last week.

The center, which will be on Blue Diamond and Cimarron roads, will be an upscale boutique neighborhood center with 39,812 square feet of retail space.

Tenants include retailers such as Inaka Sushi, Papa John’s Pizza, Nevada State Bank, Star Brite Cleaners, Java Detour, Nail Trix Salon and Pacific Dental Services.

Developer to build Henderson apartments

Addison, Texas-based Behringer Harvard announced its investment in Alexan St. Rose, a planned apartment community in Henderson.

Trammell Crow Residential will serve as developer and will construct 20 luxury apartment buildings designed to appeal to a wide variety of renters, Behringer officials said.

“We’ve created an opportunity to acquire a high-quality multifamily property in a favorable manner by entering the project in the development stage,” said Mark Alfieri, senior vice president for real estate at Behringer Harvard.

“This will enable our investors to capitalize on an exciting development situated in one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the United States,” he said.

Alexan St. Rose will consist of an estimated 414,338 square feet of rentable space that is slated to include 430 apartments with a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans.

Alexan St. Rose will offer amenities including multiple pools and spas, fitness center, business center and clubhouse.

The planned property is located just east of the northeast corner of St. Rose and Maryland parkways in the western part of Henderson.

This is Behringer Harvard’s second project with Trammel Crow Residential in the Henderson market. The company provided financing for Alexan Black Mountain, a 213-unit apartment community currently under construction.
