Reid unveils list of Republicans for him
In its ongoing effort to define Sharron Angle as an extremist, the campaign of Sen. Harry Reid put out a list today of "mainstream" Republicans it says are crossing over to Team Reid.
It said more than 40 "high profile or active" Nevada GOP members have signed up for the campaign’s "Republicans for Harry Reid" arm since Angle won the party’s Senate nomination.
They are being added to a base of early Republican crossovers, a spokesman said, including GOP power broker Sig Rogich who offered to organize for Reid, a longtime friend.
Here is a list, which a Reid spokesman said was still adding names this afternoon.
Jerry Stacy, a spokesman for Angle, scoffed.
"Harry Reid is touting a small list of votes that has done nothing to boost Harry Reid’s dismal approval rating among the everyday Democrats, Republicans, and Independents living in Nevada who are fed up with the path that Harry Reid has led them on," he said.
