First Folio Shakespeare exhibit: A traveling exhibit featuring an original First Folio of works by William Shakespeare is set to be on display at the Special Collections in UNLV’s Lied Library from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Sept. 29. The Folger Shakespeare Library, in association with Cincinnati Museum Center and the American Library Association, is touring a First Folio of Shakespeare in 2016 to all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico. The event is set to benefit 21st Century CARE and Cancer Train, both organizations dedicated to cancer patients in Southern Nevada by providing financial assistance to patients receiving cancer treatment. Skye Canyon Presents Skye & Stars: An Evening of Stargazing with the Las Vegas Astronomical Societyis planned from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Sept. 10 at Skye Canyon, 10111 W. Skye Canyon Drive.
