Three new faces spearhead Findlay Acura in Valley Automall

Three new managers, with a combined total of 59 years in the car business, are leading the charge at Findlay Acura in the Valley Automall.

Dealership General Manager Kevin Hicks assumed his second general manager position at the dealership, 315 Auto Mall Drive; while Sales Manager Mike Brady and General Sales Manager Matt Nicol have moved to the location from another Findlay Automotive dealership.

Hicks, 41, has been with the Findlay Automotive Group for eight years. He started as director of operations for Saturn of Henderson in 2003 before working his way to the general manager position.

“The Findlay Group is the best group that I have ever worked for,” Hicks said. “As a general manager, they allow us to do things the way we like, as long as we have the customers’ best interest at heart.

“Also, very important is the fact that the Findlay family has been in the car business in this state for more than 50 years and is well known for its civic involvement. Through thick and thin, good and bad economies, they’re always there for both employees and customers, and I enjoy working for a family with such stability.

“I cannot imagine working for anyone else.”

Hicks was working as the fixed-operations manager at Findlay Chevrolet when the opportunity to spearhead Findlay Acura arose.

“Based on my success as a previous general manager at Saturn of Henderson, I was a clear choice for the new position,” said Hicks. “In a very short period of time with the Findlay people, not to mention that I have been in the car business since I was 16 years of age, the move was a win-win for everyone.

“With Matt Nicol and Mike Brady in two leadership positions, we have a dream team with a prestigious product.”

Brady, 34, has been in the car business 12 years. He is a former photographer who jumped at the chance to enter the business when a friend referred him.

“I am very excited to be part of this team and have learned immensely in my four years with Findlay Automotive Group,” Brady said. “Acura is the best of the best in the car business. The vehicle has incredible quality and reliability and Acura simply sells itself. The car business gets into your blood and there is nothing like the rush you get when satisfying a customer, especially with a car as well-respected as an Acura.”

Nicol, 34, has been in the car business 11 years — all with Findlay Automotive Group.

“I started with Saturn of Henderson in 2000,” said Nicol. “Every day is a new challenge in the car business, and you’re continually meeting new people. It’s never dull and drab and no two days are alike.

“The Acura is a phenomenal product, a luxury car with a nonluxury price. In addition, the service is unmatched and second to none.”

Findlay Automotive Group was founded more than 50 years ago by the late Pete Findlay whose son, Cliff, now spearheads new- and used-car operations in Nevada, Idaho, Utah and Arizona. The company employs more than 1,000 people.
