Wal-Mart shopper opens trunk, finds body of someone she knew
Riverside, Calif., police are trying to figure out how long a body had been decomposing in a woman’s trunk before she discovered it during a shopping trip.
The woman noticed a smell coming from the trunk of her Lexus on Saturday and opened it to discover the body of someone she knew, according to NBC Los Angeles. Police said she has not been named a suspect in the death.
“(It’s) very unusual, I mean, it’s a one-of-a-kind,” Riverside Police Sgt. Dave Amador said. “We do get bodies in trunks, but when they open it up and say they know them and didn’t know they were in there, that’s unusual.”
