Why the president hates private enterprise

The Obama White House is howl-at-the-moon crazy about a cover story in Forbes Magazine. White House spokesman Robert Gibbs, according to the Washington Post, said: "It’s a stunning thing, to see a publication you would see in a dentist’s office, so lacking in truth and fact. "I think it represents a new low."

First of all, it’s obvious Robert Gibbs hasn’t been to the dentist’s office lately, if he thinks every magazine in there is truthful and factual. He definitely hasn’t been to my barber shop, where the hunting and fishing magazines each recount several "ones that got away" stories. But I digress.

The controversy that has the WH so angry (and I suspect they are agitated because the article contains a ring of truth) is a Dinesh D’Souza piece with a drop headline that reads: "The President isn’t exactly a socialist. So what’s driving his hostility to private enterprise? Look to his roots."

The story presents a "psychological theory" about Obama’s business attitudes, central of which is the president’s "foreign roots".

You can read the WH reaction here.

Then, you tell me, what drives a guy who arguably is America’s most anti-business president?
