1 dead after neighborhood dispute west of Las Vegas Strip

A Saturday night shooting between neighbors left one man dead and another injured, police said.
Just after 8 p.m., police responded to a shooting in the central valley on the 4500 block of West Via Madrigal, near West Flamingo Road and South Decatur Boulevard, the Metropolitan Police Department said Sunday.
Homicide detectives said the man who died, later identified as 27-year-old Juis Antonio Lopez Jr. of Las Vegas, had a continuing dispute with a family member and neighbors. Lopez arrived at his home with the family member before arguing with a neighbor.
The argument escalated, and police believe multiple shots were fired between the Lopez, his family member and a third man, who was later detained.
Lopez and his neighbor were transported to University Medical Center, where Lopez died from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Clark County coroner. His neighbor suffered one gunshot wound that was not life-threatening. The third man was not injured.
No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, police said.
This is the 45th homicide Metro has investigated this year, and the 52nd investigated within Clark County.
Anyone with information on the shooting can contact Metro’s homicide section at 702-828-3521 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
