The Clark County coroner’s office has identified a man in a motorized cart who was struck and killed by an armored truck Tuesday in a shopping center parking lot.

Ronald Barrett, 82, died of multiple blunt force injuries, according to the coroner’s office. His death has been ruled an accident.

Las Vegas police on Tuesday had initially identified the victim as an 87-year-old man.

Barrett was struck by the armored truck just before 2 p.m. Tuesday on the 6100 block of North Decatur Boulevard in northwest Las Vegas. He was knocked to the ground, and the truck continued to move as bystanders tried to alert the driver, according to police.

Officers said the driver did not appear to be impaired.
