Motorcyclist traveling at speed ‘too fast for conditions’ dies in Las Vegas crash

The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a crash Tuesday that left a motorcyclist dead in the south Las Vegas Valley.

According to police, the crash occurred at about 4:57. p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Warm Springs and Paradise roads.

Police said a 2024 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling west on Warm Springs Road at a “speed too fast for conditions” and entered the Intersection on a red signal light. A black 2020 Lexus ES300 sedan was traveling east on Warm Springs in the far left turn lane on a green light.

Police said the Harley Davidson rider struck the front of the Lexus, ejecting the rider from the motorcycle.

Authorities said the motorcyclist, identified by police as Russell Allen Ellison, 50, was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the black Lexus was transported the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
