Officer traveling at over 100 mph while responding to call

Las Vegas police officer James Manor was not using his lights and sirens while responding to a domestic violence call May 7, the night he was killed in a traffic collision.

At a news conference today, Clark County Sheriff Doug Gillespie also said Manor was traveling more than 100 mph at the time of the collision.

Gillespie said charges against the other driver are being re-examined in light of the new information.

Las Vegas home prices continue to slide

Housing analyst Larry Murphy was hoping he was wrong when he said median home prices in Las Vegas could slide to $100,000 by year’s end. If prices continue to fall by nearly $10,000 a month as they did in April, they’ll be there by the end of summer.
