UXBRIDGE, Mass. – A woman told police she drove her car into a sand trap on a Massachusetts golf course because her GPS sent her the wrong way.

Local makeup artists put a new face on liberty

Every day across Nevada countless women have their makeup done at department stores, and models and actors have their makeup done on the sets of photo shoots, movies and commercials. The talented makeup artists working in the retail and entertainment industries are often not cosmetologists, and in fact they do not need cosmetology licenses to do makeup. Makeup artistry is not even taught in cosmetology school.

Free meals available for kids this summer

Two programs are offering free meals for kids at 21 locations on weekdays this summer to those ages 2-18. The Culinary Academy of Las Vegas is providing free meals at 19 sites through the federal 2012 Summer Food Service Program. Communities in Schools of Nevada is offering free meals and snacks in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Southern Nevada Housing Authority and Three Square food bank.
