Child hit by school bus in southeast Las Vegas

A school bus struck a 7-year-old in the southwest valley Thursday afternoon.

About 2:50 p.m., a Clark County School District bus hit the child in the area of West Haleh Avenue and June Flower Drive, near West Cactus Avenue, Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Larry Hadfield said.

The child was taken to University Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made, and no one else was injured.
