Man drops 13-foot python in the middle of a restaurant and walks out

The motto that the “customer is always right” is not necessarily always the case — especially when the customer unleashes a 13-foot python on the floor of a packed restaurant.

According to NBC Los Angeles, Hiroshi Motohashi, 46, brought two small snakes to dine with him at Iroha Sushi of Tokyo in Studio City, California. After he brought the snakes out to “show them off,” other diners in the restaurant complained, prompting the employees to ask him to take the reptiles outside.

Motohashi obliged, only to returned a short time later with an even larger snake.

According to LAPD Lt. Jim Gavin, before Motohashi dropped the 13-foot python in the middle of the restaurant and walked away, he allegedly said, “(Expletive) you guys.”

Another diner in the restaurant captured footage on his cellphone of police officers attempting to collect the python from behind a computer where it had allegedly gotten stuck, NBC notes.

Motohashi was arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats, which is a felony charge. While he remains behind bars on $50,000 bail, his snakes are being cared for by animal control.
