Kris Bryant snaps Clayton Kershaw curveball streak — VIDEO

Kris Bryant snapped an impressive streak by Clayton Kershaw during the Las Vegan’s first two-homer game Monday in the Chicago Cubs’ 4-2 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers at Wrigley Field.

According to ESPN’s “Baseball Tonight,” Bryant’s two-run shot in the third inning was the first one hit off of a Kershaw curveball since May 11, 2014, when San Francisco Giants infielder Brandon Hicks, a former 51s player, sent one out of the park.

Kershaw has made 38 starts since then without allowing a homer off of one of his curveballs.

“For me it’s kind of surreal. I’m facing guys that I grew up (watching) and they were on my fantasy baseball team in high school,” Bryant, a Bonanza High School product, said of homering off of Kershaw.

Bryant, who also crushed a solo shot in the eighth off of Adam Liberatore, is batting .282 with 10 homers and 42 RBIs in his first 60 games in the big leagues.
