Every now and then when you go out for a walk you get a pleasant surprise – and such was the case after a long day of finishing up my downtown relocation.

It was Memorial Day, and the droves of tourists were starting to trail off, with the exception of lingering punk rock fans in town for the last day of the Punk Rock Bowling music festival.

For a moment the blaring sounds from PRB, just a block or so in the distance, faded away as bands changed sets, and seemingly in unison the sky lit up in wonderful peach tones while the neon lights of Las Vegas answered the coming call of night.
