Man killed in Saturday rollover accident identified

A man who died in a Saturday morning rollover accident was identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office Sunday afternoon.

Daniel Acosta, 37, died of blunt force injuries to the head and torso, the coroner said.

Acosta was driving southbound on U.S. Highway 95 when he curved right to exit onto East Lake Mead Parkway, according to Nevada Highway Patrol.

The vehicle veered left into the rocky area east of the exit and rolled before landing on its roof. Acosta was pronounced dead at the scene according to Nevada Highway Patrol. Speed may have been a factor.
