Coroner releases name of man killed in double stabbing

The man killed in a double stabbing last week in northeast Las Vegas has been identified.

Las Vegas police responded to Exeter Drive, near Lake Mead Boulevard and Los Feliz Street, just after midnight Thursday.

Jeffree Bender, 28, was found with stab wounds and taken to University Medical Center, where he died. The Clark County coroner’s office said his official cause of death was stab wounds to his back and upper extremities.

The other victim was stabbed in the abdomen but was expected to live.
