Twelve bowlers remain in Senior Masters

Twelve bowlers remain in contention at the United States Bowling Congress Senior Masters at the South Point Bowling Center.

Match play started Thursday with 64 bowlers, and four stayed undefeated.

In the winners’ bracket today, Walter Ray Williams Jr. will face Mike Edwards, and Amleto Monacelli will battle Jack Jurek. The eight bowlers in the elimination bracket are defending champion Pete Weber, Wayne Webb, Brian Voss, Toby Contreras, Jim Starks, Rob Cline, Ricky Woods and Robert Brown.

Play begins at 8 a.m. today. The stepladder finals begin at 3 p.m. First prize is $18,000.
