Driver’s diabetic episode cited in Monday fatal crash

The man who was hit and killed by a car while fixing a flat tire on U.S. Highway 95 in Las Vegas on Monday evening has been identified.

Kadar Lee Brown, 38, was hit by a Dodge Durango on the right shoulder of U.S. 95 near the Rainbow/Summerlin Parkway exit.

The driver of the Durango was suffering a diabetic episode when the collision happened, Nevada Highway Patrol said.

Brown, a Las Vegas resident, was pronounced dead at the scene.
