2-year-old drowns in pool in northeast valley

A toddler found in a neighbor’s pool Thursday evening in northeast Las Vegas died several hours later at a hospital.

Khloe Ann Vidal, 2, of Las Vegas, was found about 6 p.m. in the 7700 block of Morning Cove Court, near Decatur Boulevard and Grand Teton Drive, according to Las Vegas police.

Family and neighbors searched the neighborhood for Khloe after a family member noticed she was missing from her home.

First responders initially provided first aid to Khloe, who was unresponsive, after she was removed from the pool.

She was taken to Centennial Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Police are investigating the events that led up to Khloe’s drowning, and no charges have been filed as of Friday morning, police spokesman Larry Hadfield said.
