Former Lt. Gov. Dr. Lonnie Hammargren is scheduled to open his Hammargren Home of Nevada History at 4318 Ridgecrest Drive from noon to 5 p.m. Nov. 2-3. The open house will include old casino signs, discarded stage props and historical artifacts. Live music and entertainment will be provided all weekend in celebration of Nevada Day. Hammargren also will be honoring former UNLV basketball coach Jerry Tarkanian and daredevil Robbie Knievel, son of Evel Knievel. A $10 donation will be requested at the door.
