Land Rover gives yurt to Scouts

Land Rover Las Vegas recently donated a yurt to the Las Vegas Area Council of Boy Scouts of America.

The yurt, a round, portable structure, will be used by the Scouts to enhance its health lodge facilities at its Del Webb Adventure Base in the mountains of southern Utah, just north of Zion National Park.

The Adventure Base features nearly 1,000 acres of forest that is used by youth from across the nation, particularly those from the Las Vegas area. The summer camp runs for five weeks with 1,300 Scouts earning merit badges in subjects such as first aid, camping, hiking, cooking, environmental science, emergency preparedness and canoeing.

Land Rover Las Vegas is at 5255 W. Sahara Ave. Call 702-579-0400 for more information.
