Fire damages East Charleston lounge

A fire in a lounge on East Charleston Boulevard early Saturday caused an estimated $100,000 in damage Saturday morning.

Firefighters responded to a call at the Back Door Lounge, 1415 E. Charleston Blvd., just after 6 a.m. and quickly put out the fire, said Tim Szymanski, spokesman for the Las Vegas Fire Department.

Several people were in the building at the time of the fire. One person was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene.

The fire originated in a storeroom at the back of the building. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
